Harvard-educated, environmental engineer Romilly Cavanaugh used to work for Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline. Days ago, Romilly was arrested in an act of peaceful, civil disobedience against the expansion of Trans Mountain.

For The Real News, I speak with Romilly about her decision to risk arrest and the reasons for which she has chosen to speak out against this project. As Romilly explains, claims by Kinder Morgan and the Trudeau government that this project is safe and that it will produce major economic benefits are unfounded.
