According to Hersh, CIA officials believe that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was aware of the Biden administration’s plans to destroy the pipelines.
Zain and I also discussed the failure of Ukraine’s counter-offensive, Ukraine’s grain dispute with Poland and the election in Slovakia.
This weekend (after Zain and I spoke), Robert Fico, a former leftist Prime Minister of Slovakia, emerged as the winner in that election. Fico campaigned on opposition to arming Ukraine and support for negotiations to end the war.
