In early September, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo, a U.S.-born spokesperson for Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces, issued a chilling video in which she vowed that ‘pro-Russian’ journalists would be ‘hunted down’. On September 16, I was interviewed on RT International about Ashton-Cirillo’s video. In the interview, I discussed threats to journalists who criticize Western policy toward NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine. Today (September 20), Ukraine’s Territorial Defense Forces announced that it had suspended Ashton-Cirillo as a result of statements that she made in her video.
