In Canadian Politics, COVID-19, Human Rights

On March 24, 2022, I participated in a debate organized by the Spadina-Fort York EDA of the Green Party of Canada. The question we debated was whether the Canadian government’s use of the Emergencies Act was justified. In the debate, I argued against the government’s use of the legislation while my opponent, class actions lawyer Nathalie Gondek, argued in favour of the government’s actions.
